This is a fun pullover to make and practice a variety of stitches in bands across the body of the sweater. A good looking stitch learning project! Materials: Finished Chest Measurements: 36 (40,46,54)" GAUGE: 5 sts = 1" in Stockinette stitch (St st) on
larger needles. PATTERN STITCHES: Reverse Stockinette Stitch: (Rev St st) Double seed stitch: (even number of sts) Squares stitch: (multiple of 10 sts plus 5) Bobble Stitch: Garter stitch: knit all rows Instructions BACK: With smaller needles cast on 95 (105,115,135 sts. Work in k1,p1 rib for 2(2,3,3)" end with a wrong side row. Change to larger needles and work Triangle st for 24(24,30,32) rows. Then work in St st for 2 rows. Work Rev St st for 2 (4,2,4) rows and St st for 2 rows again.Work Double Seed St for 24(24,30,32) rows. Work a sequence of St st 2 rows, Rev St st 2(4,2,4) rows, St st 2 rows. Work Squares St for 24(24,30,32) rows. Work a sequence of St st 2 rows, Rev St st 2(4,2,4) rows, St st 2 rows. Work Bobble st for 24(24,30,32) rows. Work Rev St st for 2(4,2,4) rows, then work St st for 2 rows. Bind off all sts loosely. FRONT: Work as for back until piece measures 2" shorter than back. Then, keeping sts in pattern, work 34 (36,39,49) sts. Attach a second ball of yarn and bind off center 27(33,37,37) sts to form neck. Work rem sts in row. Continue working both shoulders the same, but separately. Dec 1 st each neck edge every other row 4 times. When front length equals back, bind off all sts loosely.FINISHING: Armhole: Measure 9(9,10, 10)" down from shoulder seams on front and back. Place marker or safety pin at each spot. Starting with right side facing, pick up 90(90,100,100) sts bet markers. Work in Garter st for 9 rows. Bind off loosely. Repeat for other armhole. Sew side seams.
