This is a very easy pattern -
Deco-Ribbon - Elongated Brick Stitch Scarf
Cast on 21 sts using size 13 needles.
Work 3 rows in garter st (knit all rows), then begin elongated brick
stitch.
odd rows: k3, k5, p5, k5, k3
even rows: k3, p5, k5, p5, k3
Work for 2-3 inches, then reverse to:
odd rows: k3, p5, k5, p5, k3
even rows: k3, k5, p5, k5, k3
Continue to change back and forth to form the long vertical “bricks”
until scarf is desired length. Finish with 3 rows of garter stitch and
bind off loosely.
One ball of Deco-Ribbon will yield a scarf of approximately 38-40
inches. With two balls you can double that length.
Finishing:
Put scarf into bowl or pan of warm water with a little liquid detergent
-
squeeze to thoroughly wet scarf. Rinse. Gently squeeze out excess water.
Roll up in bath towels and walk on towels to squeeze moisture out.
Lay scarf flat and block to desired width/length.
You can force the scarf to be longer and narrow or wider and shorter.
Let dry overnight.
