1 pr 9" CPY Bamboo, size 19 needle
The scarf is knit in garter st + wrap stitch holding all 3
yarns together throughout. Finished scarf will be approx. 7.5" x 85" long.
To knit scarf :
With 3 yarns held together, loosely cast on 10 sts.
Knit 4 rows.
Wrap stitch:
Row 1: Knit 1, *wrap once around needle, K1*, continue bet *s,
ending with K1.
Row 2: Knit, drop the wrapped sts off needle.
Row 3: Knit
Repeat these 3 rows until just a small amount of yarn left and Knit the
last 4 rows.
Cast off loosely.
Note: Besides the red shown, there are many other rich
color combinations possible with these three yarns. Try a purple combo, or
teals, or greens, or bold black and white.
Note 2: I plan to put a large button about 1/3 from end of
this oversize scarf. The wrapped st pattern forms openings that can be
used to button the scarf/stole around neck or shoulders.
